While Lieberman's Democratic support is slipping away to Lamont, his Republican support is as high as it is going to go. Most of the Independents are just as anti-Iraq War as the Democrats, and when they have gotten a chance to get to know Lamont they will support him just as the Democrats did.
Poll: Lieberman, Lamont running neck-and-neck
(CNN) -- A new poll by the American Research Group indicated a statistical dead heat in the U.S. Senate race in Connecticut between upstart Democratic nominee Ned Lamont and incumbent Sen. Joseph Lieberman.
Some 44 percent of respondents deemed "likely voters" supported Lieberman, while 42 percent said they would vote for Lamont in the November election. This gap was well within the margin of error of plus-or-minus 3.5 percentage points. Republican nominee Alan Schlesinger got backing from 3 percent of likely voters.

Lieberman's toast. He's neck-n-neck with Lamont now, and he's got no base of financial and (especially) organizational support anymore. Who's gonna staff his GOTV machine? What local committees is he going to tap into for the precinct work? The national Dems have turned to Lamont, and Lieberman can't really tap into the RNC ..
He's in much more trouble than most people seem to think. He doesn't seem to realize it, yet, but he has almost no shot.
Oh, that last one was from me ...
